Why is morning glory everywhere when the seeds are considered an illegal psychedelic?
Q. Can anybody tell me why it is illegal to consume morning glory seeds, when morning glory plants are so easy to find? It seems like a plant with seeds that qualify as illegal psychedelics would be made harder to find. Why is this?

A. Morning glory is considered an invasive native. I made the mistake of planting the blue morning glory on my fence in Florida. I spent the next five years trying to get rid of it. The fact of the matter is they can't eradicate it. They sell the seeds at nurseries. I don't think it's as illegal as pot (they have different schedules for drug illegality). Plus Psilocybin and Amanitas mushrooms grow everywhere and they haven't tried to eradicate those either.

How many morning glory seeds do you have to eat for it to equal one hit of lsd?
Q. My friend wants to get an lsd-like effect from eating morning glory seeds, because buying lsd off the street isn't always safe. How many seed should he eat for it to equal one hit of regular lsd?
Asked by David H - Sun Sep 27 10:08:56 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It would take 250 seeds to equal a dose of lsd. 1 seed contains about 1mg of LSA. So 250 seeds would be about 250mg of LSA. LSA is about 10x weaker than LSD. So 250 seeds would equal 250 mg LSA or 250 micrograms of LSD. 250 micrograms is 1 standard hit. Beware, some companies put anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agents into the seeds to prevent them from going bad this can cause nausea and/or vomiting. If you can find organic seeds you won't have to worry about this.

Don't fertilize morning glories after they are established or you will get a ton of leaves and no blossom. I have found that they don't do well in pots. Q. what discrimination towards the african -american soldiers did you find most disturbing?
Asked by Derail520 - Thu Apr 3 19:07:37 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The pay issue. When Morgan Freeman walked up to the paymaster and he was told to make his mark, it sort of set the mood. The reduced rate of pay, reflected the viewpoint of the War Department, I suppose. They had been used as contrabands at first, and I guess they may have tried to justify it by saying a laborer doesn't rate the full $13.00 a month that a soldier gets. This was finally resolved by the end of the war, but it took over a year to prove they were able to "ante up and kick in like men" (beautiful line, splendidly delivered by Mr. Freeman as well).

Q. i am planting morning glory indoor and i planted them seperately because i didnt want overcrowding. i would like to move them to a big pot and place a trellis on them will it be a bad thing if i transport them? will they die? they are about 5 inches tall and each plant have 2 leaves on them so far.
Asked by lovingnyc - Tue Apr 8 12:23:41 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. It is often said that morning glories don't transplant well but I have not found that to be true. The seedlings have a long root and the less it's harmed the more quickly they will settle in to their new spot. When I move self sown seedlings in my garden I use a regular teaspoon and go deep into the ground around them, loosening the soil, and then gently lifting the plant. It really doesn't matter if soil clings to the root or not as long as you get most of the root. Replant immediately in a little hole just as deep as it was originally growing. Firm it in and be very generous with water. I dribble mine 2 or 3 times a day right after transplanting so that they never have to work for water. They may look very sad but even if they do don't [cont.]

How do you handle work-place "glory grabbers"?
Q. These are the people that are always stealing credit to impress management. Some of us can research a problem, figure it out, then discuss it amongst ourselves, then one of these glory grabbers puts out an email flyer about it to "help" everyone with the solution that the rest of us figured out. A. Morning Glories won't start to seed until late Aug. - Sept. and they seed everywhere. Wherever there was a flower you will find a seed pod they look like small basketballs about the size to the eraser end of a pencil. Let them dry on the stem and then you can pick them. Inside the pod are all the seeds you can either leave them or break them open I don't think it really matters. You can also leave it till the spring when all the growth has died off before picking the pods. Hope this helps
