If there is an outlet nearby plug up your hairdryer and heat the stickers slightly, not too hot. They should peel off quite easily. You could use a plastic scraper or spatula to help remove them. I've gotten labels off cardboard boxes this way without even marring the boxes. You could also use mayonnaise which will bring the finish of the door back up if it is unpainted. If it's a sticker with glue, you obviously shouldn't use soap and water because it'll wash away the glue and the sticker won't stick. If it's more of a decal and has no glue, you can use soap and water to apply the sticker, but you need to make sure you have a really good squeegee so that you can get all of the soap and water out from under the sticker. If there's a little soapy water left under there, you have two choices: (1) allow the soapy water to evaporate on its own, or (2) use a blow dryer on a warm setting to force the soapy water to dry up faster. Either way, the sticker will remain exactly where you put it as soon as the soapy water is gone. Good luck.
