GNU Free Documentation License What is the difference between Colon Cancer and Intestinal Cancer? Q. And how does one get screened for Intestinal cancer? Colon cancer runs in my family and I have a colonoscopy every year. But I found out that a close relative has Intestinal cancer. Asked by WPB_LV_AV - Thu May 17 20:47:06 2007 - - 4 Answers - 1 Comments A. As other peole pointed out, "colon" cancer is a cancer specific of the large intestin, whereas "intestinal" cancer could affect any part of the intestine (including the small intestine, i.e. duodenum, ileum and jujenum). Q. I recently got quite a sum of money and am planning to donate to assist patients with cancer or cancer research. I also want to make sure that the money goes directly into helping the cause, and not into someone's paycheck. Plz help me find the most reliable/ best foundations or let me know what you recommend! Thanks. Asked by atroc1ous_xr3t - Thu Apr 17 00:09:20 2008 - - 3 Answers - 2 Comments A. You didn't say if you were looking for a specific type of cancer. Q. For instance, my wife had breast cancer and it has opened my eyes into other types of cancer. I am finding people at work with colon and pancreatic cancers and I have read books about people's experience with childhood cancers. So, because of your cancer or a loved ones cancer have you gain insight or knowledge in the other cancers? Asked by Dave - Sun Apr 11 09:08:01 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes. When my son was first diagnosed I was too frightened to look at the material, but after awhile I began doing research and put together an online directory of every aspect of cancer . . . from diagnosis, to types, research, hospitals, charities, support groups, wish foundations, angel flights, summer cancer camps, hospitality housing, treatment options, alternatives, complementary/integrative med, foundations, memorial pages, childhood palliative care, and hospice . . I did focus more on childhood cancers, adolescents, and sarcoma though than the other subtypes of cancer . . also I read every research article I could find, many at ASCO or the National Library of Medicine. I just read alot. I have also established a few support… [cont.] Answered by Panda - Sun Apr 11 13:04:29 2010 From Yahoo Answer Search: "cancer" CancerFrom Wikiquote Jump to: navigation, searchCancer is a class of diseases in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth.
